The couple became ill right before Dalamud started to fall to the planet. Sadly, the couple were lost during the Calamity due to the healers focusing on those who were hurt on the battlefield. Holly was left to fend for herself on the back streets of Ul'dah but swore she would never lose hope and always help all those around her as best as she could. A beautiful Lalafell spied Holly trying to help someone by pouring the last of her water onto a child's cut. The Lalafell introduced herself as Lady Lilira, and they spoke about their aspirations and dreams. Lady Lilira smiled when Holly told her, "I want to learn to be a healer, so if we are ever in another Calamity, I can focus on those who need to care for their children so children never get left behind." Lady Lilira wrote Holly a note to give to the Arcanist guild, more specifically to Thubyrgein, to take her in and train her. Holly was beside herself, and with the assistance of Lady Lilira, she set off to Limsa Lominsa. In her wandering, Holly met up with another Lalafell, who she befriended and only knew as Auntie Lalafell. Auntie told Holly if she ever needed a friend, she could venture over to the Lali-ho Maid Cafe and find her there. While Holly enjoyed her adventures and is still learning to be a healer, she also recognized she needed a circle of friends
